Thermocyclers, or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machines, are laboratory instruments that are used to amplify DNA and RNA samples by the PCR by regulating temperature during cyclical programs. The PCR is considered as one of the most important developments in molecular biology. Real-time PCR is performed in a thermal cycler with the conventional technique of measuring fluorescence.
